AG-Explorations

The 2025 South Florida Fair is January 17-February 2. School groups can visit the fair on special dates for AG-Explorations. Students will be directed to designated areas, see unique exhibits, and “take back to class” packets to reinforce the experience.

2025 Fair AG-Explorations

The South Florida Fair’s AG-Explorations, offered during our annual event in January, offers an immersed experience in farming and agriculture. Yesteryear Village is not a part of the tours during the 2025 Fair. Only on-line reservations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

All groups will park outside of the Yesteryear Village Gate.
Students and chaperones will be off-loaded to enter and will be escorted to the Kubota AGZone by South Florida Fair guides.
Small groups may be combined at the Fair’s discretion.

DATES & TIMES:

The 2025 AG-Explorations experiences focus on a per-grade level and are offered from 10a.m.-12 noon on selected days as follows:

Tuesday, January 21: K-1^st grade
Thursday, January 23: 2^nd-3^rd grade
Friday, January 24: 4^th-5^th grade

Monday, January 27: K-1^st grade
Tuesday, January 28: 2^nd-3^rd grade
Wednesday, January 29: 4^th-5^th grade

Admission fees:

Students: $5.00 per student
Chaperones: One free chaperone admission for every 10 students. Additional chaperones: $10.00 per person.

DEADLINE:

Reservation deadline is December 20, 2024. Tickets will be printed for each student/chaperone and can be picked up by the teachers from the YYV Welcome Center between 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. the week of January 6-10, 2025. Tickets not picked up during that timeframe will be held at the YYV Gate Will Call on the morning of the reserved tour.

Students are encouraged to bring packed lunches which can be enjoyed in the Yesteryear Village once the day’s AG-Explorations are completed. Comfortable walking shoes are encouraged, and rain gear if a rainy day. Tours go rain or shine.
