Steve Compton is a local entertainer and BMI Nashville songwriter. He is currently recording and producing songs in Gallatin, Tennessee. He has previously won the 1999 Blue Ribbon Award for performance in Yesteryear Village and also a number one song on WOKC and WBGF radio in 1999. His song "Speckled Perch Fishing" went to #1 on the Kerri Kasem top 40 regional weekly countdown on WOKC. He is well known for his original creations and Willy Nelson like sound.
