The South Florida Fair is looking for 6 talented young bands, 13-19 years of age to audition for a chance to compete at the South Florida Fair, Monday, January 21, 2008 on the “Taste of Florida Stage” at the 5th Annual Battle of the Bands.

Non-professional contestants must be a band of three or more only. Contestants are encouraged to have back up dancers to complete the performance presentation. Contestants can perform Blues, Jazz, Country, Rock, Rap, or Pop.

First place prize is $1,000.00 and may also include sponsored goods and gifts. Winners may also be featured on air, promoted at area events and be featured as a Showcase Performer at the South Florida Fair the following year.

Contestants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian present during the audition and a signed entry form.
