2008 YOUTH DOG AND PET EDUCATIONAL POSTER CONTEST (PLEASE NOTE: THIS
IS NOT AN ART COMPETITION)
Themes: Pet Care and Training, Veterinary Science, Pet Anatomy and Physiology,
Breed
or Species History
Judging will be based on CREATIVITY, KNOWLEDGE SHOWN, and NEATNESS. Ribbons and
premiums will be awarded. Please use a standard size poster and include your
name, and age on the back. Contest is open to Show Exhibitors and 4-Hers.
Posters will be due during check in at the beginning of the Dog Show at 1:00
pm. All posters will be displayed during the Dog and Pet Shows.
SOUTH
FLORIDA FAIR DOG DEMONSTRATIONS
RULES & REGULATIONS 
1. Completed Release Form Deadline (No Exceptions):
DECEMBER 1, 2007.
2 Dogs are allowed only in the performance areas of
the livestock pavilion.
3. Dogs must be “crated” (crates only designed
for dogs), except when exhibiting or performing in
show
ring. No tie-outs or x-pens permitted.
4. Exhibitor is responsible for cleanup after and around
dogs.
5. Dogs are not allowed in any other tent, exhibit
building, or on the midway.
6. Dogs are allowed in concourse only if participating
in the parade.
7. Dogs must have their rabies tags on at all times
when on the Fairgrounds.
8. NO SMOKING in any tent or building.
9. Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages,
or intoxication while performing and/or announcing
is
grounds for immediate dismissal from Fairgrounds.
10. Only exhibitor with completed signed release forms
are permitted to handle or work any dog exhibiting
on
Fairgrounds.
11. There will be no mistreatment of animals allowed.
Any type of mistreatment is grounds for immediate dismissal
from Fairgrounds.
12. South Florida Fair & Palm Beach County Expositions,
Inc. as well as the Show Secretary reserves the right
to refuse any exhibitor that does not conform with
the
above
rules
and regulations.
13. It is understood that the South Florida Fair takes
every reasonable precaution for safeguarding exhibits.
